Agrineer - Campaign for additional SME soil models

This is a (future) campaign to add more soil model options to the Soil Moisture Estimator ( SME ) application.

Motivation

The SME platform provides daily, hourly-based, atmospheric-surface interface load values that can be applied to different soil moisture models.

These values are derived from model data and/or local input data:

• crop-indexed evapotranspiration ETc (from modeled ETo)
• precipitation (from modeled or local input rain, and local input irrigation)

The Sacramento Soil Moisture Accounting model SMA initiates the first implementation of available soil models. This campaign seeks to implement other models. Under current consideration are bucket and finite-element methods. Having different soil moisture models allows for research comparisons to each other.
